On April 27th, 2015 the US-China Clean Tech Center (UCCTC) hosted a delegation from the Chinese Society of Environmental Science (CSES) at their Downtown Los Angeles office, composed of senior executives from 11 companies spanning five different provinces in China. The event’s discussion was led by UCCTC’s Cleantech Development Manager, Jeff Horowitz, beginning with his presentation outlining the wide variety of ways in which UCCTC works with China-US cross border investment groups to assist interested Chinese companies and investors in meeting their goals, while simultaneously promoting U.S. inbound investment activities in clean technologies and solutions. Another important topic covered during the meeting was the utilization and benefits of water and air pollution technologies, as many of the technology companies included in the delegation expressed strong interest in U.S. developed water and air pollution control technologies with regard to their potential applications in China.

The event was held in hopes of creating a greater knowledge base about a vitally important aspect of environmental policy, in addition to bringing to light the vast array of investment opportunities that exist between the U.S. and China within the sectors of clean technology. CSES dubbed the event a success and had this to say about their experience: “UCCTC has left a great impression with your comprehensive presentations and professionalism. CSES learned best practices and expressed great interest in collaborating with your team in every possible way in the future”.
